Sensitive & Original (Women) Fit Pit Organic & Natural Deodorant Cream - Review*

Get Fit Pits with this deodorant!

The Green Woman are based in Surrey, England and are the creators of Fit Pit Natural Deodorant. All of their products are home made and are 100% organic, natural and vegan. Selected products are safe to use during pregnancy, menopause, homeopathic treatments, detoxes, as a teenagers 'first' deodorant or during and after cancer treatments. The Green Women believe in driving social change to support a greener more sustainable future. They actively support many positive initiatives and 10% of their profits are donated to work against climate change. Their deodorants contain no parabens, BPAs, aluminium salts or any other nasties of any kind. And lastly, plastic is never used and their packaging will always be reusable, then recyclable or compostable!

The Green Women kindly sent me two jars to review of both their original (women's) and sensitive deodorant creams. I was quite excited to try these out as I had never tried a cream deodorant before! The Fit Pit Original for women is lightly perfumed with rosemary and bergamot essential oils which are both said to sooth and lift your mood, I'm not too keen on this scent as rosemary isn't to my taste. Because of this I much prefer the sensitive one as it doesn't have a scent to it. I also really like the packaging of the deodorants as the glass jar is both reusable and recyclable. To use both deodorants simply apply a pea sized amount to your underarms with fingertips in the morning or after bathing. The deodorants then simply melt when contacted to warm skin. When using the deodorants I found it pleasant to apply due to the creaminess of them. I also felt like I didn't need to hand around waiting for the deodorants to dry and I was left without any white stains on my clothing. I found that I didn't sweat as much throughout the day, but I was left with a dry feeling under my arms at the end of the day. Bicarbonate of soda subtly alters your skins natural pH, which prevents smell causing bacteria from thriving. Unlike some deodorants it doesn't merely mask bad smell, it prevents it. And unlike antiperspirants it doesn't block your sweat glands, which means your body can still remove toxins, making it even healthier for you. I even got my Mum to try out these deodorants, she ended up really liking them and has been using them for the past few months now!

Please note: If you have been using a mainstream anti-antiperspirant, this will probably have coated your skin and clothes. It may take several days for this residue to leave your skin.

A'kin Orange Blossom Body Wash - Review*

Australian Vegan Society Approved

My Pure was the first UK store to sell A'kin way back in 2004, since then it has gone on to become one of the UK's favourite natural beauty brands. A'kin is made from the finest natural ingredients, chosen for their purity and skin friendly compatibility. A'kin does not contain: sulfates, ethoxylates, parabens, propylene glycol, petrochemical cleansers, silicones, phthalates, mineral oils, DEA or artificial colours. All A'kin products are ingredient-rich, vegan, and use certified organic ingredients where possible, they have been formulated without animal ingredients or animal testing. And all A'kin products are certified vegan by the Australian Vegan Society.

'The fresh delicate, sweet essence of Orange Blossoms are prized for brightening the spirit and calming the skin. It's light citrus floral fragrance combined with the gentlest and purest botanical cleansers ensures your skin and mind will be refreshed.'

The second product I decided I would like to review from MyPure this month, was this large bottle of Orange Blossom Body Wash from A'kin. I find the product itself to be of a thick gel consistency that has a strong scent of fresh natural orange. The scent is something I'm not too keen on but others may find it refreshing. The shower gel lathers up quite well but the scent didn't last on my skin for too long, which was okay with me seeing as I'm not keen on the smell! After I had washed with the product I was left feeling clean and didn't feel sticky afterwards. I personally think that the size of the bottle justifies the price of the product, as it will last quite a while with many uses. I also like the pump that the bottle provides as this means you're not loaded with too much or too little of the product when pumping it out. This also mean that the product will last longer due to no extra product coming out!

Yes To Coconuts Ultra Light Body Lotion - Review*

Nuts about coconuts!

'A super light body lotion that sprays on evenly and leaves no greasy residue. This lotion has made applying lotion all over that gorgeous bod of yours so easy! This super snazzy formula contains Virgin Coconut and super-light Jojoba Oils which penetrate the skin in a way that only few oils can. It's perfect for those with dry skin that require intense moisturise.'

The first product I decided I would like to review from MyPure this month, was this Summer sounding Coconut Ultra Light Body Lotion from Yes To. Yes To Coconuts is Yes To's speciality range for dry or cracked skin. This body lotion comes in a plastic bottle with a spray nozzle attached for an all over application. To apply the lotion simply hold the bottle a couple of inches away from skin and spray over arms, legs, and body. The lotion itself is quite thin but it's very creamy and moisturising to the skin. I found that the lovely coconut scent lasted a few hours before it disappeared, which is a nice touch as usually lotion scents don't hang around for long. I personally think this product will be great to use in the Summer as it's very light and doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky or greasy after its been applied. The coconut scent of the body lotion is also a Summer bonus as it smells light and fresh. I really love the nozzle for spray application, I found that I covered large areas in one go so it didn't take me long to moisturise my whole body. Overall, I will most probably purchase this product again as I think it's a Summer must have!

Botanicals Award Winning Mint & Tea Tree Foot Softening Balm - Review*

Cool your feet!

'Our aim at Botanicals is very simple: to provide a range of personal care products which are as close to nature as possible. Those that harness the pure power of plants. And reflect our belief that nature really does know best.  Botanicals personal care and wellness products are blended by hand using only carefully selected natural and organic ingredients - and absolutely no petrochemicals or synthetic additives.'

To my pleasant surprise I was contacted via email by Botanicals. I hadn't heard of the company before, but after looking around their website I wish I had! I was offered to review a product that they had personally chosen or I could chose my own. I started having a good look through their website right away, looking for a product that I would like to review for them. I ended up going for this lovely sounding Mint and Tea Tree Foot Balm. I don't really take care of my feet enough so I thought I would treat them this time! Botanicals are totally against animal testing, and operate a non-animal testing policy for all of their ingredients. And all of their products are vegan, which is an added bonus of course!

'A nourishing natural balm to seriously soften hard, dry skin, and nurture over-worked feet. Naturally antibacterial and soothing to the skin, our natural foot balm is concentrated, so only a small amount is needed. Botanicals balms are made entirely with plant derived ingredients. For this multi-award-winning natural foot balm, we combine organic shea butter with cold-pressed organic oils, and natural vitamin E, enhanced with pure organic essential oils.'

The first thing I did when I received the product from the Postman, was smell it! After my first sniff, I instantly loved the scent of it. Cool, fresh and calming were the three words that came into my head! I couldn't wait to try out the product. After I showered I applied a small amount of the balm as a little can go a long way, I then massaged until the balm was fully absorbed. The product itself is really moisturising and it left my feet feeling really soft afterwards. Not only do I love the smell, but the packaging of the product is also lovely.

Key ingredients: Organic shea butter, organic jojoba, organic apricot kernel oil, organic peppermint, spearmint and tea tree essential oils. Hand made in rural England. 100% natural and 89% organic ingredients.
