Hurraw! Orange Lip Balm - Review*

Hurraw! it's raw!

Hurraw! Balm started out of pure intent; a personal obsession to create the perfect balm: all natural, vegan, made from premium raw, organic and fair trade ingredients, complete with a bunch of natural and fun flavour options. They source honest, fair trade, organic, vegan and raw ingredients from reputable suppliers and are thrilled to share the labours with other balm lovin' individuals. Your purchase also supports legit fair trade, organic farmers and suppliers in the States and around the World. They're also gluten free, soy free and shea free, as well as containing no petroleum, parabens, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. And with a wide range of flavours from Orange to Earl Grey and Lemon to Chai Spice, you're bound to find a flavour that you'll love.

'Super juicy, sun ripened oranges are what this balm is all about. One swipe of our creamy orange balm will bring a smile to your lips. We use not one, but two varieties of fresh cold pressed orange peel oil which pretty much makes this balm the bomb.'

The second product I decided to review from MyPure this month was this delicious sounding Hurraw! Lip Balm. I really love how thick this lip balm is, as it makes my lips feel really moisturised when the balm has been applied. I found the the balm itself stayed on my lips for a good half an hour after applying the product, this meant I did need to reapply if needed again though. The smell of this lip balm is lovely, very subtle but sweet enough to smell it after applying. I also love the shape of the balms packaging as they're specifically made to not slip out of your pocket, which I think is a great idea. Hurraw! have a massive range of different flavoured lip balms and I cant wait to try more of them!

Yes To Cucumbers Sensitive Skin Daily Calming Moisturiser - Review*

Cool as a cucumber!

Yes To Cucumbers soothes sensitive skin with organic cucumber (a soothing vegetable extract), aloe vera (anti-inflammatory properties) & green tea (a calming herb). The 95% natural formulation of Yes To Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturiser, delights your skin with an extra dose of proteins and nutrients to purify and regenerate your complexion. Say Yes To cucumbers and sweet almond oil to help calm and hydrate.

The first product I decided I would like to review from MyPure this month, was this fresh looking Daily Cucumber Moisturiser for sensitive skin from Yes To. I've always found a good facial moisturiser difficult to come by for some reason. But this Yes To moisturiser nearly ticks all of my boxes! Firstly, the smell of this product is lovely. It's not too strong or overpowering as it has very fresh scent of cucumbers. I wouldn't say my skin is overly sensitive but it can get quite dry sometimes! I feel that this product helps my dry areas without being too heavy or oily. The only reason why it didn't tick all of my boxes, is that when you apply the product it can feel a little sticky afterwards, it did end up soaking into my skin which stopped this feeling.

The Midnight Shop Natural Lavender Deodorant & Lavender Fields Pulse Point Perfume* - Review

Smell like a lavender field!

The Midnight Shop is passionate about bringing natural and eco-friendly products into our lives. Products made by real people, with only natural ingredients. Their aim is to make us happy, both in our own skin and our home! They offer a thoughtful selection of natural, cruelty-free, eco-friendly, vegan and elegantly designed home and beauty products brought to us by talented makers. The Midnight Shop is based in England and therefore collaborate mainly with British makers to promote local brands and to reduce our ecological footprint.

Here we have two items from The Midnight Shop created by the lovely Charlotte! I have kindly gifted the Lavender Fields Pulse Point Perfume from Charlotte to review but I purchased the Natural Lavender Deodorant due to being intrigued by the product.

Natural Lavender Deodorant

Sweating is natural, but with sweat comes odour, and if we can avoid this, we will. Most store-bought deodorants include aluminium to stop you from sweating (which can disrupt hormones) on top of other additives like parabens. This natural alternative will keep the odours at bay without harming your body (and the planet). Baking soda absorbs odour, corn-starch absorbs moisture and coconut oil acts as a moisturiser on all types of skin. The lavender essential oil is also known for its soothing, sweet and floral scent, which makes it a great smell for a deodorant.

I really like the smell of this solid deodorant as it's soothing, calming and works great at naturally masking body odour. The deodorant comes in a lovely looking 100ml aluminium tin which is both reusable and recyclable. To use the deodorant, simply warm it up with your fingertips and then apply it to your underarms. I did find that applying the deodorant was a little difficult (even after melting it with my fingers), as the product is quite hard and solid. I feel that the deodorant kept my sweating at bay, but I did need to reapply it a few times during the day. I actually prefer solid deodorants to roll-on and spray's as I find them more moisturising for my underarms. A little tip, if the deodorant gets a little warm and melted you can pop it in the fridge until it becomes solid again!

Lavender Fields Pulse Point Perfume

This artisan botanical perfume is made with pure English lavender essential oil and will transport you into a field of blooming lavender! A soothing and calming blend with relaxing, anti-depressant (and even insect repellent!) properties. Botanical perfumes are a great alternative to conventional perfumes, which contain synthetic compounds derived from petrochemicals and are proved to be bad for our health. Essential oils don't only smell incredible, they are also good for our well-being. Botanical perfume does not contain alcohol and therefore doesn't last as long as conventional perfume. Simply apply perfume on pulse points (inner wrists, the base of the throat, behind ear lobes).

If you're a big fan of lavender then you'll love this Pulse Point Perfume! I personally find the scent a little overpowering, which can lead to headaches. But I have found that the scent is very useful for blocked up noses when used on tissues. I like the handiness of this cute 12ml roll-on recyclable glass bottled perfume as it's a good size to keep in your bag when out or even for when travelling!
