Yes To Cucumbers Sensitive Skin Daily Gel Cleanser - Review*

Say Yes To Cucumbers!

Yes To Cucumbers soothes sensitive skin with organic cucumbers, aloe vera & green tea. This Daily Gel Cleanser is made from a 97% natural formulation including cucumber which is a soothing vegetable extract and green tea, which is a calming herb. The Yes To Cucumbers Daily Gel Cleanser cleans deeply, gently lifting dirt and impurities from your sensitive skin, leaving your complexion soothed, calm and clean.

The product I decided I would like to review from MyPure.co.uk this month, was this fresh looking Cucumber Gel Cleanser from Yes To. This product is made from natural petroleum and is free from SLS and parabens! I was surprised by the smell of this product as it has a very light and refreshing scent. I like using cleansers on my facial brush and this product worked really well with it. It foamed nicely and didn't leave my skin feeling dry afterwards like others can. If you don't have a facial brush you can simply apply the gel to your wet face and massage gently in small circular motions with your fingertips for about a minute. Then rinse well with warm water and pat dry. After trying this product a few times I would definitely repurchase it again as it makes my face feel refreshed and the gel itself smells lovely.

Skin Likes 100% Natural Roll-On Deodorant - Review*

Roll on!

Skin Likes have created a formula that gives you peace of mind which has no sting (even after shaving), kills bacterial odour in sweat instantly, doesn't clog pores or leave white marks on clothes, is suitable for vegetarians and vegans and is completely free from irritating chemicals. Using food-grade, plant-based ingredients and nothing else, this product as with everything that they produce has not and never will be tested on animals. Usage: Apply this gentle, natural underarm deodorant after showering. In extreme heat or when exercising, reapply for best results. The wonderful natural ingredients in this product are: Scottish spring water, bicarbonate of soda, xanthan gum and a special blend of bacteria-busting therapeutic essential oils and nothing else.

After having my eye on this roll-on deodorant for a while, I was kindly sent some to review! Since going vegan and cruelty free, I've found it quite hard to get on with roll-on deodorants. Sadly I haven't been able to get on with this deodorant either, which is quite disappointing as I really love the smell. My only problem with this deodorant is that it leaves my armpits feeling really wet, even after leaving the product to dry. I did find the roll-on ball itself very simple and easy to use, which is a surprise as some can be loaded with too much product or not roll properly. Sadly I won't be using this deodorant again which is a shame, as like I said before I really like the smell. I do recommend that you try this deodorant out though as it might be perfect for you!

Acorelle Eau de Toilette in Intense Cherry - Review*

Smell intense as a cherry!

Acorelle is a French range of certified organic fragrance, skin care, body care and baby care. All of the Acorelle Eau de Toilette range are 88% natural and are formulated by perfumers in Grasse, the birthplace of perfume. All of their scents are guaranteed to be free of phthalates, nitromusks and colouring. The Eau de Toilette is described as a tender, gourmet perfume thanks to the red berry notes blended with precious gardenia and orchid fragrances, underpinned by warm, woody base notes.

The second product I decided I would like to review from MyPure.co.uk this month, was this lovely looking Eau de Toilette (dilute form of perfume) by Acorelle in their Intense Cherry scent. I've said this before, but since going cruelty free and vegan with my cosmetics I've been eager to try and find to a good smelling scent. I've tried a few testers of various brands and scents, but I haven't found anything that's made me want to buy the bigger version. But for once I actually really, really like the scent of this Eau de Toilette! When I first sprayed myself I was hit with a lovely scent of subtle cherry. I find that I only need one spritz of this Eau de Toilette to last me a good few hours. However If you like a more intense scent then this product is also great for building up throughout the day. I would say this product is great to wear during the day and during the night as it's a very versatile scent and can be worn either lightly or heavily.

Yes To Blueberries Fine Lines & Wrinkles Daily Repairing Moisturiser - Review*

Say Yes To Blueberries!

Yes To Blueberries is Yes To's speciality range for age-damaged or mature skin. The range is said to improve firmness and diminish the appearance of fine lines with blueberries, cotton thistle & paracress flower.

Yes to Blueberries Daily Repairing Moisturiser is a powerful and non-greasy daily moisturiser. The main ingredients are blueberries, these are rich in antioxidants such as vitamin c and anthocyanins which help fight the formation that can damage the skin. Organic cotton Thistle which hydrates age-damaged skin and helps boost natural collagen production and skin rejuvenation. Aloe, which helps provide hydration, soothing, and healing of age-damaged skin. And lastly olive fruit oil which is high in oleic acid and skin identical squalene which help regenerate skin cells, repair the skin's barrier function and attract moisture to age-damaged skin.

The first product I decided I would like to review from MyPure.co.uk this month, was this Yes To Blueberries Daily Repairing Moisturiser. If you read my blog regularly you will know that I can be quite fussy when it comes to the scent of a product! So the first thing I will say about this facial moisturiser is that I love the smell of it, which is quite rare for me. It doesn't smell of blueberries so don't be off by the name. So rather than smelling of blueberries I would describe the scent as being quite flowery but very subtle, it's definitely not an overpowering smell. The cream itself is thin but quite creamy so you only need a tiny amount to cover one area at a time. I found that If I applied too much of the product my skin felt quite heavy, although it did seem to soak in well. The only thing I can't state yet is that the product has reduced my fine lines, as this can take time and constant use of the product. I will say that my face has begun to look a lot more fresh since using this facial cream though!

Lovea Burkina Shea Moisturising Hair Mask - Review*

Sweet as Shea nut!

Lovea Bio Burkina Shea Moisturising Hair Mask is a rich and creamy formula to restore damaged hair shafts and help prevent split ends. Ideal for dry, damaged and treated hair. After washing and conditioning hair apply Burkina Shea Moisturising Hair Mask to towel dry hair. Leave for up to 30 minutes and then rinse out. For best results wrap a towel around your hair. Burkina Shea Butter melts quickly at room temperature and absorbs rapidly without leaving a greasy feeling. It is a great anti-inflammatory, emollient and helps maintain moisture levels.

The second product I decided that I would like to review from MyPure.co.uk this month, was this Lovea Moisturising Hair Mask! The product itself is thick and creamy with a subtle nutty scent (which I quite like). After washing my hair with my normal shampoo and skipping my normal conditioner I got out of the shower and towel dried my hair (like the instructions told me to do so). On the pot it tells you to leave the treatment on for five minutes, but you can leave it for up to 30 minutes if you have the time. I left the product in for five minutes whilst I was putting on my body moisturiser, which helped past the time! After the five minutes were up I rinsed my hair out and blow dried it not long after. I was a little worried that my hair would be left looking or feeling greasy but I was pleasantly surprised as neither happened. I believe that my hair was a little easier than usual to brush through when wet and it most definitely felt a lot soft when I had finished drying it! After a constant once a week use of this product I believe it'll help my dry and split ends become soft and no longer split. I hardly ever use hair masks or treatments on my hair so I find this product to be a really nice once a week treat for my hair!

Yes To Tomatoes Combination Skin Daily Pore Scrub - Review*

Say Yes To Tomatoes!

Made with 99% natural ingredients, Yes To Tomatoes Daily Pore Scrub is perfect for combination skin. The naturally derived formulation blends tomato, bamboo & and ground mango seeds with other ingredients to help gently unclog pores. Tomato is a natural source of antioxidants and the mango seed oil is a crushed fruit seed which is great for exfoliation. This acne-fighting scrub is powerful enough to combat blackheads and breakouts, but gentle enough for daily use. Yes To Tomatoes is specially formulated with witch hazel and salicylic acid to treat acne breakouts and keep oily-combination skin in tip top condition.

The first product I decided that I would like to review from MyPure.co.uk this month, was this Yes To Tomatoes Combination Skin Daily Pore Scrub! I've always liked the idea of the Yes To range as they have so many different products to offer. At first I was a bit skeptical about how this face scrub might smell, as it is made from tomatoes... But after having a smell of the product I was very surprised at how mild the scent was and how little it smelt of tomatoes! I find the scrub itself to be quite thin, but despite this I find the small grains work well with the consistency of the product. After using the scrub on my face, my skin felt clean and a lot softer. With the spot / acne reducing side of this product I haven't been able to see any physical change in my appearance as my skin is so up and down lately! But hopefully the more I use the product the more I will notice a difference in my appearance.

Salt of the Earth Natural Foot Deodorant Spray - Review*

Let the Salt of the Earth protect your feet!

Fresh feet are only a spray away with the latest member of the Salt of the Earth Family – the all new, 100% natural deodorant formulated specifically for your feet. Containing calming aloe vera and infused with an invigorating menthol fragrance, the unisex Salt of the Earth Foot Deodorant Spray offers long-lasting, effective protection from foot odour, whilst simultaneously cooling and soothing tired toes. Whether you spend long days on your feet at work or home, or balmy summer’s evenings dancing under the stars, this Spray keeps you fresh, cool and odour-free until you are ready to kick off your shoes and relax.

I was kindly sent this new Natural Foot Deodorant Spray from Crystal Spring to review. The first thing I did was undo the bottle to take a whiff as I was intrigued by the 'cooling menthol fragrance' that's stated on the bottle. To my surprise it smelt lovely and most definitely like cooling menthol (a bit like those Airwaves chewing gum's!). I had a family party coming up, I knew I would be standing and moving around on my feet for quite a few hours in my new sandals. So when I was getting ready I massaged the spray into my clean feet and let it get to work. After my night of moving around in my sandals it was time to smell my feet to see if the product had actually worked. And guess what, it had! It seemed to work well and my feet were left non sweaty and not so smelly as I thought they might be! This product would be great for both male and female, especially if you do activities regularly or you're on your feet all day and would like your feet to stay smelling fresh when it comes to the end of your day.

Different Brands of Vegan and Cruelty Free Feminine Care!

Us females all know that sometimes that 'time of the month' can be difficult. Especially if you've just become vegan or you'd like to swap your products over to cruelty free ones and you don't know where to start with feminine care! And because it took me a while to find my favourites I've put together a few products that I've tried and tested. Some I still rely on and a few I personally haven't liked, but the ones that aren't my personal favorite, could be yours!

 1.

The Mooncup is a great eco-friendly product as it will last you ages, years even! They also save you a lot of money and will reduce your waste as opposed to using tampons and pads. You can buy the Mooncup from many different online stores, health shops and high street shops such as Boots! I've also come across many different brands of reusable cups such as the DivaCup and the Femmecup. I've also reviewed the Mooncup here and here.

2.
Gift Wellness Normal Pad & Panty Liner

These Gift Wellness pads are personally my favourite pads I've come across! Made from 100% chlorine free these pads are anti-allergy and avoid irritation caused by artificial materials and chemicals. They come in three different sizes which are normal, long and panty liner. And can be bought online or from Holland & Barrett.

3.

3a.
Natracare Ultra Extra Long Pads,
Ultra Extra Normal Pads & Intimate Wipes

Natracare have quite a lot of different products ranging from Ultra Extra Pads to baby wipes to Intimate wipes. And because they have so many different products, you're bound to find something that's perfect for you! These can be purchased online from many online stores! Find my separate reviews here and here.

3b.
Natracare Regular Ultra Pads, Mini Panty Liners
& Regular Applicator Tampons.

Here's some more of the Natracare range that I've tried out.

4.
Organyc Regular Applicator Tampons

If I do want to use tampons these are the best that I've come across so far! They're made from 100% organic cotton and they also come without an applicator if you prefer that. Organyc also produce many other feminine care products such as pads and intimate wipes (which I really like).

Thank you for reading, I hope you've found my post helpful and that you've found something new to try out!

The Mooncup Menstrual Cup, One Year On - Review

Go with the flow!

Over a year ago I nervously purchased my first ever Mooncup*! If you'd like to read my first-time experience post just click here. I'll start by telling you some basic information about the cup... The Mooncup is a reusable menstrual cup that will last you years and years. It's made of soft medical grade silicone and sits a lot lower than a usual tampon. While a tampon absorbs your period (and everything else), the Mooncup just collects it and nothing else. The Mooncup is also said to collect three times as much than a tampon does! And because the Mooncup is reusable, you only need one of them, so whilst you're saving money, you're also saving the environment. If you'd like to find out anything else including what size to buy or how to clean you Mooncup then please visit my previous Mooncup post.

After more than a year of using my Mooncup, I'm still loving it over tampons and pads! When I first tried it I was quite worried about using it in public, but now I'm quite happy and very comfortable to go out with it! With my experience, I've found the cup very easy to use once I got used to it a few times and now I don't find it as scary as I used to! Since using my Mooncup I've realised just how much waste I'm personally preventing compared to using tampons and pads. I honestly really recommend the Mooncup. And even if you're a bit scared to try it just go for it, you won't look back I promise!

Yes To Tomatoes Combination Skin Clearing Facial Mask - Review*

Go tomatoes!

Yes To Tomatoes is specially formulated with witch hazel and salicylic acid to treat acne breakouts and keep oily-combination skin in tip top condition. Say Yes To this 95% natural Tomatoes Clearing Facial Mask, formulated with tomatoes and aloe, a total deep pore treatment that refines, purifies and even moisturises your skin, while helping to keep your complexion clean, clear and balanced.

Apply a thin layer of Yes To Tomatoes Clearing Facial Mask to your clean face. Use a circular motion to thoroughly cover your face, avoiding your mouth and eyes. Gently wipe away with a damp washcloth after about five minutes. Refresh yourself with a splash of cool water and pat dry.

The second product I decided that I would like to review from MyPure.co.uk this month, was this Yes To Tomatoes Face Mask. And guess what? it really doesn't smell like tomatoes! When I ordered this product I was a little skeptical about what it would smell like... Turns out that it actually smells lovely and I really quite like it. The product itself has a sweet flowery scent which makes me want to keep smelling it! I love how creamy and thick this mask is, yet it dries very well considering. On the packaging it states to leave the mask on for five minutes until dry, I personally found this too long as when I showered the mask off I was left with a red tomato face! I think it's best to use a little less of the product so it dries quicker and then you won't be left with a red face afterwards. Despite my red face, my skin felt quite soft and after the redness had gone down I felt like my spots looked calmer than before. And I have to say, this is my favourite face mask out of all the one's I've tried so far!

100% Natural Konjac Vegetable Fibre Face Mouse Sponge with Bamboo Charcoal - Review*

Go on, treat your skin!

This is a fun new shape for the same high quality Konjac Sponge. Designed to fit perfectly in the hand, this ergonomically shaped sponge, looks just like a computer mouse and gives a thorough all over face cleanse. Effective in combating problematic acne and breakouts, without damaging or scarring the skin. Ideal for oily, teen and blemish prone skin, is pH balanced, refines pores, cleanses and exfoliates the delicate eye area, can remove water based make-up, can be used with or without cleanser, is suitable for sensitive skin and is 100% natural, colour & additive free and 100% biodegradable.

Before use, rinse and fully hydrate your Konjac Sponge in warm water. Squeeze out any excess water, and gently cleanse skin. Massage in a circular motion to gently exfoliate, refresh and condition the skin. It is not necessary to use cleansing products, but a small amount can be added to your Konjac Sponge if desired. If a cleanser is added, the sponge will help the product work harder, and go further.

After use, always rinse your sponge well, and allow to dry in an airy place between uses. Please be careful not to wring it out as this may damage the delicate plant fibres, just squeeze between your flattened hands. You can also pop your clean sponge in the fridge to keep it fresh and cool, which helps keep your Konjac Sponge last even longer. Alternatively your sponge is happy to be aired on a heated towel rail or from a window hook. When dried it will shrink and harden, this is perfectly natural. Simply allow it to absorb water and rehydrate before using again. Never use the sponge when dry. The better care of the sponge, the longer it will last. And never leave the sponge in the shower or in a pool of water.

The first product I decided that I would like to review from MyPure.co.uk this month, was this intresting Konjac Face Mouse Sponge with bamboo charcoal! In last months reviews I reviewed a Konjac body sponge and because I liked it so much I wanted to give one of their facial sponges ago. I went for this shape, rather than their regular circled shaped ones, as I thought it looked a lot easier to hold and move around the face due to it's shape. And I was right, it's so easy to use and it sits perfectly in my hand. The Konjac company have many different facial sponges made with various ingredients which all have different effects on the skin. I went for their one with added bamboo charcoal which is said to help eliminate spots and excess oil as it's a natural antibacterial and antifungal. It also contains activated carbon and minerals which have been used for centuries to absorb toxins, remove excess oils and fight hard to reach bacteria. I found the sponge to be really soft when using it on my face and I felt like my face got a good clean as it gently exfoliates but deeply cleanses. I find this sponge to be the perfect facial sponge as it's silky soft when wet and is very delicate on the skin.

Balance Me Congested Skin Serum - Review*

Balance your congested skin!

A skin saviour for those moments when your skin shows signs of an unwelcome blemish or breakout. Whether you need to soothe and calm skin breakouts or restore the skin's natural balance, Balance Me has taken high grade pure aromatherapy blend of Roman chamomile, anti-bacterial may chang, calming lavender and eucalyptus and suspended it in a light, non greasy gel containing organic aloe vera and spruce knot that is super soothing and cooling but does not dry out your complexion.

The second product I decided that I would like to review from MyPure.co.uk this month, was this Balance Me Congested Skin Serum. This little tube has a lot of great ingredients packed into it and is the perfect size for taking away with you when traveling. This product is suggested that it can be used both day and night, but I've found this spot treatment is best used during in the evening than during the day. The main reason for this is that I personally think the product has quite a strong medicinal smell to it, this makes me prefer using it during the evening before I go to sleep. To use the product gently smooth a small amount of gel directly onto spots, blemishes or skin prone to breakouts after cleansing. The gel itself has a lovely cooling effect and doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky or dried out after using it. This is a great product to use on your face before you go to sleep if you've had a spot come up during the day and want to help it along its way!

100% Natural Konjac Vegetable Fibre Big Buffer Body Sponge - Review*

The softest sponge I've come across!

The biggest Konjac sponge, the Big Body Buffer with 100% pure Konjac, sloughs off dead skin cells to gently exfoliate the body and give a luxurious all over cleanse. Regular use can help reduce blemishes, ingrown hairs and keep skin smooth and supple. Ergonomically designed with 6 waves, the Big Body Buffer is approximately 15 x 9cm which is perfect for use in the shower or bath. This Konjac Sponge is also perfect for eczema sufferers, sensitive skins, pH balancing, tackling ingrowing hairs and is 100% cruelty-free and certified vegan.

Before use, rinse and fully hydrate your Konjac Sponge with warm water. Squeeze out any excess water, and gently cleanse skin. Massage in a circular motion to gently exfoliate, refresh and condition the skin. It is not necessary to use cleaning products, but a small amount can be added to your Konjac Sponge if desired.

Alternatively, your sponge is happy to be aired on a heated towel rail or from a window hook. When dry it will shrink and harden, this is perfectly natural. Simply allow it to absorb water and rehydrate before using again. Never use the sponge when dry. The better care of the sponge, the longer it will last. And never leave the sponge in the shower or in a pool of water.

The first product I decided that I would like to review from MyPure.co.uk this month, was this wonderful Konjac Big Bugger Body Sponge. I've never used a Konjac sponge before, although I have heard of them and I have always been intrigued by them. Now I've used one I don't think I'll ever be going back to using my regular body exfoliating hand gloves! This is most definitely the most gentle and softest sponge I have ever come across. The sponge itself came dry in its packaging and was very hard, so I was really surprised at how soft it becomes after I had fully wet it. When showering, I made the mistake of using a large scoop of my LUSH Cosmetics Rub Rub Rub shower scrub to used with the sponge. It produced loads of bubbles and it took me ages to wash the product out from the sponge. When I use my sponge again I know now to use just a little bit of a product as it seems to go a very long way. Overall I've really loved using my sponge and a couple sponges that I'm really excited to try out from the range next are the Bamboo Charcoal and the Green Clay facial sponges.

LUSH Cosmetics Let The Good Times Roll Facial Cleanser - Review

Let The Good Times Roll!

This face and body cleanser is a gentle treat for the skin, leaving you soft to the touch with a buttery popcorn fragrance. Maize flour and polenta gently exfoliate, whilst cinnamon powder stimulates and leaves you feeling fresh and revived, with beautifully soft skin. This gentle yet scrubby cleanser will soothe and soften your skin, giving it a natural glow.

This cleanser is the perfect treat for your skin once or twice a week, or maybe even more than that... I love the smell of this product, its main ingredients are maize flour, corn oil and actual popcorn! So this product definitely has a popcorn scent going on. I like to use the cleanser on my face for a lighter facial scrub at the weekends as a little break from using my Ocean Salt Self-Preserving & Alcohol Free Scrub during the week. I prefer to use the scrub by simply wetting my face in the shower, scooping some of the product onto my finger tips and then gently massaging it into my skin. Or you can do as it says on the tub and take a piece of the cleanser in the palm of your hand, add a little water, mix into a paste and then massage into your skin before rinsing it off with warm water. The product itself is very gentle, leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. After using the scrub it leaves my skin feeling quite moisturised but never oily, which is personally great as I suffer with oily skin. I will definitely be buying this product again when I run out of my first tub!

Don't forget, if you collect five black emtpy pots you can trade them in for a fresh face mask in any LUSH Cosmetics store!

LUSH Cosmetics No Drought Dry Shampoo - Review

Say goodbye to greasy hair!

LUSH have created this dry shampoo with oil-absorbing powders with grapefruit and lime oil to refresh your hair without water. This is ideal if you want a quick refresher between washes as it will soak up excess oil to leave a matte, clean look without any dustiness. Massage a little into your scalp and through the hair, then brush out.

I've always loved dry shampoos, I find them great for those days when you haven't got enough time to fully wash your hair. I really like the smell of this product, it's very fresh due to the grapefruit and lime oils it contains. In the past I've tried a few dry shampoos which have left my brown hair looking a little white, whereas this one doesn't! I find the product to be light weight and it's great at doing it's job, hiding greasy hair. This product is also great for short trips away such as camping or when your hair needs a quick boost when out!

Native Unearthed Natural Crystal Deodorant - Review*

'Choose Native, Choose confidence.'

Native Unearthed’s natural deodorants are made from naturally occurring crystal minerals sourced directly from the earth. To prevent odour, the crystal deodorant harnesses the natural antimicrobial power of Native Unearthed's exclusive crystal minerals to simply and effectively preventing the build of bacteria causing odour. Better still, whilst preventing odour, their natural deodorants don't clog pores like the normal deodorants. Instead, their deodorants still allow your body to continue its normal course of eliminating toxins from the body whilst providing round the clock protection. To use your crystal deodorant stick, simply moisten the tip and apply, or apply to wet underarms.

I kindly received this deodorant to review from Native Unearthed which was organised by The Vegan Lifestyle Association. When I first became vegan I remember trying quite a few crystal deodorants and not having much luck with them. So when I first tried out this deodorant I was pleasantly surprised! Although this product has no scent, it still stops your armpits from smelling. I found myself to be dry throughout the day and I genuinely felt protected throughout the day. The only thing I find tricky with this deodorant is that you have to apply it wet, so for me it's not that easy to use if you're in a rush. Overall I think this deodorant is the best crystal one I've tried so far!

I was very kindly sent this Skin Brightening Gel from PHB Ethical Beauty, organised by Vegan Lifestyle Association to review. Firstly, the smell of this product is lovely! It really makes me want to just smother myself in it. I've never used a face or body gel treatment before, so this product was quite new to me. I haven't noticed any dramatic physical changes to my facial skin tone, but it has left my skin feeling softer and more radiant looking in the morning's when I've used it before I go to sleep. Once applied and soaked in the gel left my face feeling tight, it wasn't an uncomfortable feeling though and it left my skin feeling less dry than beforehand. I'm now quite interested in gel treatments and PHB's Skin Perfect with Aloe & Rose has caught my eye, as it's great for scars, stretch marks and acne. And for VLA members only you can get a great 25% off of PHB's products!
